FPC stands for Flexible Printed Circuit, also known as flexible PCB. It is manufactured with flexible insulating substrates such as PI (Polyimide) or PET film bonded with copper foil. Different from rigid FR4 PCB, FPC can be freely bent, folded, twisted and wrapped into irregular narrow spaces. It can be produced in single-sided, double-sided and multilayer structures. It features ultra-thin thickness, light weight, excellent bending resistance, shock resistance and high wiring density. It is widely applied in consumer electronics, wearable gadgets, automotive electronics, medical instruments and robot moving parts.
